Many students have complaints about other academic writing companies being too slow in responding to their inquiries. Surely, some of the facts are wrong, so this writer would have to adjust this revision to fit the truth. But the point here is to stay focused on a single story rather than a laundry list of vague statements. Though the introduction may seem long, its lack of precision sets the stage for an essay that is likely to be short on details. If you read the entire essay, you can see that this writer drifts frequently into generalizations. Instead of telling your readers that a difficult time in your life was stressful, show your reader how that stress manifested in your life. Maybe there was a specific day or a specific hour or moment when that stress reached a climax. Let them see and feel what you experienced before zooming out to tell us about it. Never send an essay to one school with the name of another school in the text! This happens, and itâs a serious turn off to admission committees.

How To Write The Perfect College Admission Essay
How To Write The Perfect College Admission Essay The Sonora Eagles were my means for dealing with the death of my loved ones to cancer. I was never fully aware of how closely humans rely upon each other until I read The Fall of Freddy the Leaf by Leo Buscaglia in freshman year. The allegory is about a leaf that changes with the seasons, finally dying in the winter, realizing that his purpose was to help the tree thrive. This one shows a panoramic view of the city of Santa Barbara, California. Here, I recall spending six weeks in my glory, not only studying and learning, but actually pursuing new knowledge to add to the repertoire of mankind. I could have easily chosen to spend my summer lazing about; in fact, my parents tried to persuade me into taking a break. Instead, I chose to do advanced molecular biology research at Stanford University. This challenge was so rewarding to me, while at the same time I had the most fun of my life, because I was able to live with people who shared the same kind of drive and passion as I did. After reading it, I was enlightened on the cycle of life and realized the tremendous impact my actions had on others. The exploration led me to the African Disease Prevention Project , a non-profit organization associated with several universities. I decided to create the first high school branch of the organization; I liked its unique way of approaching health and social issues. I procure an ordinary plastic grocery bag from my backpack. The contents inside collectively represent everything about me in high school â" they tell a story, one all about me. I chuckle to myself about the added bonus of good weather, but I know I have come to Palo Alto, California, with a much higher purpose in mind. I will spend six weeks here in my glory, not only studying and learning, but actually pursuing new knowledge to add to the repertoire of mankind. Rather than just raising money and channeling it through third parties, each branch âadoptsâ one village and travels there to provide for its basic needs. As branch president, I organize events from small stands at public gatherings to 60-person dinner fundraisers in order to raise both money and awareness. Iâve learned how to encourage my peers to meet deadlines, to work around 30 different schedules at once, and to give presentations convincing people why my organization is worth their donation. I believe my purpose as a student is to encourage others to become active community members and motivate them to reach new heights. The Sonora Eagles were students of different grade levels, ethnicities, socioeconomic backgrounds, and educational ability. The most important moment occurred during the nightâs luminaria ceremony, during which cancer patients of the past and present were commemorated. Our whole team gathered around, and I asked people to share how they have been affected by cancer. This is a college essay that worked for Cornell University. I exultantly thrust open my locker door, exposing its deepest bowels candidly to the wide halls of the high school. But overall, ADPP has taught me that small changes can have immense impacts. My branch has helped raise almost $3,000 to build water sanitation plants, construct medical clinics, and develop health education programs in the small village of Zwedru.

Icahn School of Med at Mount Sinai Secondary Application Tips
ââ¬Å"At the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, we are dramatically advancing the art and science of medical care through an atmosphere of intense collaborative learning, social concern, and scholarly inquiry.â⬠Icahn is known for its progressive stance towards education. They have an early admission program for sophomores in college, called the FlexMed Program, which allows students to pursue their undergraduate studies without any required pre-med coursework or even taking the MCAT. Students accepted into FlexMed must maintain a gpa of 3.5 and complete their Bachelorââ¬â¢s degree, in addition to other requirements. ââ¬Å"FlexMed is all about flexibility in your education and the opportunity to pursue what you love to learn. It allows talented students with lots of initiative to ââ¬Ëflexââ¬â¢ their intellectual, creative, humanistic, and scientific muscles during college.â⬠ââ¬âDavid Muller, MD, FACP, Dean for Medical Education, Professor and Marietta and Charles C. Morchand Chair in Medical Education. Applicants to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai are encouraged to highlight their achievements in many areas, including scholarship, advocacy, personal maturity, integrity, intellectual creativity, leadership, innovation and motivation for medicine. Students are encouraged to take pre-med coursework in statistics and biochemistry and it is ââ¬Å"strongly suggestedâ⬠that they demonstrate fluency in a second modern language, preferably Spanish or Mandarin. Icahn offers MD/PhD and MPH programs, but also has a strong focus on primary care. For the first two years of medical school at Icahn, students participate in the Longitudinal Clinical Experience, where they are introduced to the primary providerââ¬â¢s clinical reasoning and patient-centered approach. The campus is located on the border between the Upper East Side of Manhattan and East Harlem, a location which exposes students to disenfranchised patient populations with chronic health issues. Students are guaranteed housing in Aron Hall, located across the street from the school and close to Central Park. Location, flexibility, and patient population are often cited as reasons why students choose Icahn. Icahn School of Medicine 2018-19 Secondary Application Essay Questions: Icahn School of Medicine Essay #1 If you are currently not a full-time student, please briefly describe the activities you are participating in this academic year. (100 words) This can be either a brief paragraph or a bullet point list. Focus on 4-5 main activities, and describe your role and the hours you spend on each activity per week. DO NOT be tempted to answer this question if you are a full-time student. Using this space inappropriately will at best, annoy the reader, and at worst, suggest that you donââ¬â¢t follow rules. Icahn School of Medicine Essay #2 What is the toughest feedback you ever received? How did you handle it and what did you learn from it? (250 words) This questions involves a little bit of soul searching. What mistakes have you made and what did you learn from them? While you might be tempted to turn this into a strength based question (ie, I am too much of a perfectionist), this avoids the main point of the question. They are looking for your self-awareness and ability to learn from mistakes. Try to think of a skill that you have worked on after being told you were not up to par. Show them that you have the ability to grow and change, and that you do not expect yourself (or others) to be perfect. Icahn School of Medicine Essay #3 Please tell us about a situation in which working collaboratively on a team was challenging. What did you do? What did you learn? (200 words) This is a teamwork essay and a challenge essay all rolled into a mere 200 words. Applicants tend to misread this question and list a series of teams they were on, instead of going into depth on one challenge. To avoid this mistake, write down 2-3 situations when you worked with others to meet a common goal. These might include a group project for a class, a research team, a leadership role in an organization, a sports team, or volunteer work. Do not include teams that you only witnessed, such as shadowing a team of doctors (your passive role wonââ¬â¢t showcase your teamwork). Next to each situation, think of a challenge that arose and describe the skills you needed to resolve it. Did you use empathy, problem solving, or flexibility? Now pick the situation that best shows a personal strength. Be careful not to take credit for everything. Teamwork is about playing in the sandbox with others, so show your awareness that it takes more than one person to build a great sandcastle. When you appreciate and recognize the strengths and contributions of others on your team, challenges are often easier to overcome. Icahn School of Medicine Essay #4 (Optional) If there is an important aspect of your personal background or identity or a commitment to a particular community, not addressed elsewhere in the application, that you would like to share with the Committee, we invite you to do so here. Aspects might include, but are not limited to significant challenges in or circumstances associated with access to education, living with a disability, socioeconomic factors, immigration status, or identification with a culture, religion, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender identity. Briefly explain how such factors have influenced your motivation for a career in medicine. Completing this section is optional. This question allows you to introduce the admissions readers to an important part of your life not discussed elsewhere. It can be about something in your personal background, identity, or a significant commitment that you made. Icahn is looking for at least an active role, if not a leadership one. While you have wide latitude in terms of topic, this question is guiding you to focus on how you overcame a significant challenge, and how that experience affected your decision to pursue medicine. It is important to put these two parts together, rather than simply talk about the hurdle you faced. You can also emphasize how you learned from your experience and will be a better physician as a result. Make sure your essay demonstrates a ââ¬Å"cup half fullâ⬠attitude to lifeââ¬â¢s challenges. Ask someone to go through your essay looking for signs of a negative slant, then work to give it a more positive interpretation. Icahn School of Medicine Additional Essay Questions for MD/PhD Applicants: All are 200 words MD/PhD Essay Question #1 Please describe an influential experience that motivated your decision to become a physician-scientist. This could be a particularly rewarding moment in the lab, an encounter with a patient, or a challenge with a research problem. Use this question to show your motivation for both medicine and science. What do these two degrees offer together that you could not do with only one? MD/PhD Essay Question #2 What is the toughest feedback you ever received? The discovery of the story was made in the library of Ashurbanipal in Nineveh by a man called Hormuzd Rassam in the year 1853 (Jastrow and Clay 10). The Gilgameshs parents were a goddess and a priest-king, respectively. His mother was the goddess Ninsun and his father was the Lugaalbanda priest-king. Donââ¬â¢t waste time! Our writers will create an original "The Epic of Gilgamesh Story About Old Babylonian Hero King of Uruk and His Escapades" essay for you Create order The story about Gilgamesh was much loved within Mesopotamia which portrayed the life of a young energetic and handsome man who liked challenging his fellow men into combat fights. However, the indecent character of the young king prompted the citizens of Uruk to beg their God known as Anu to bring him to order. The intervention was made through Enkidu, a man who challenged the king into combat fight and later became good friends. Their friendship later shaped the king into being a good person. After the death of Enkidu, Gilgamesh made so many adventures which were culminated by the wisdom offered by the women while he was seeking for immortality (Tomko). The story is an inclusion of the different roles and influences that women had on the king based on his various interactions. Subsequently, this means that he would not have achieved of all of his accomplishments without women. There is quite a number of female characters that Gilgamesh and Enkidu came across during their adventures, some of them were humans while others were divine. For instance, there are two notable women whose intervention was imperative in the fulfillment of Gilgameshs accomplishments. For instance, the priestess known as Shamhat, whose identity was much observed through offering wisdom, is known to have been the solution to the healing of a wild and uncivilized man known as Enkidu. When she made Enkidu a sane man, he moved to the capital of Uruk and encountered the king due to a combat fight. Therefore, Shamhat presents a role that made Enkidu a benevolent force whose role was intended to shape the king (Tomko). Another woman who plays an important role in Gilgameshs life is Shiduri. Shiduri and Gilgamesh met in the wilderness while in search of immortality after the death of Enkidu (Tomko). The goddess was very instrumental in offering wisdom to the king who was in grief. She asked the king to put his anger aside and enjoy all the things he has in his life (Tomko). The two women previously mentioned were so instrumental in the life of the king and he could not have achieved anything without them. However, another woman involved was a destroyer and a fountain of evil known as Ishtar. She is known for the source of all calamities that befell Gilgamesh because when she seduced him, and he refused, she asked the Gods to punish him. The Gods sent Humbaba against Gilgamesh and Enkidu. However, in the end, the Gods were the ones who killed Enkidu (Tomko). The Epic of Gilgamesh is a tale about various aspects of life to the ancient people of Mesopotamia. The mythical journey by Gilgamesh was intended to restore balance in Uruk. However, the journey is streamlined by the women characters he comes across while on his adventures that made him realize it was not all about him but his people of Uruk. After this realization, Gilagamesh goes back to his people and rules with wisdom and power till his last days.

A Brief Note On Magazines And Other Forms Of Multi Media
Magazines and other forms of multi-media portray everyone inaccurately; however, especially women (Conley and Ramsey, 2011). Specifically, Magazines do not just portray men and women differently, by sexualizing the women, they also portray elderly women differently than they do younger women. For example, cooking magazines tend to use elderly women on their covers and they are cooking and they have a big smile on their face, and it just looks like they are having a lovely time. In contrast, on a magazine that specifically targets the younger people the women tend to look photoshopped, in a sexually suggestive position, and they tend to have a mad look on their faces. This topic is important to sociology because it is a form of age discrimination. This is because older people are less portrayed in magazines than younger people (Gantz, Gartenberg, and Rainbow, 1980). The textbook defines ageism as ââ¬Å"a system of inequality based on age that privileges the young at the expense of th e oldâ⬠(p.554). Further, by not portraying elderly women as much as young women, and also by portraying older women as less beautiful than younger women is a form of ageism (Gantz, Gartenberg, and Rainbow 1980). Selection/Justification of Content to Study The content that I will be studying is coming from a magazine. More specifically the magazine is called Vanity Fair. HRM Metrics Essential in Corporate Decision-Making Processes
Question: Explain Why Are Appropriate HRM Metrics Essential In Corporate Decision-Making Processes? Explain, Using Examples Answer: Business starts with clear goals and objectives they pursue to achieve. The managers have the mandate to oversee the execution of activities to reach the targets. However, managers cannot do all the duties of the firm alone but yet need employees to assist them. Employees represent the internal stakeholders of the organization, and they comprise of skilled and non-skilled persons. All the staff is vital to the achievement of the goals of the organization, and they must be treated with respect by the managers. The human resource department headed by the human resource manager in any organization is responsible for dealing with the employee's matters. The department deals with recruitment, job placement, appraisal, rewarding and termination of the contract of the employees (Boxall, and Purcell, 2011). Human resource metrics are measurements that are used to find the value and effectiveness of the human resource strategies or initiatives. They are standards that show how the human resource department has performed (Bratton, and Gold, 2012). They aim at tracking, monitoring and assessing the performance of the HR department in dealing with the employees of the organization. The metrics include; turnovers, employees' performance, scrap materials and cost of labor. Human resource department to be successful it must ensure employees satisfaction and also provide the organization with employees able and willing to execute the activities. The employees also must be at a low cost for the team not to incur huge expenses to the firm. Turnover is the rate at which workers exit the group. High employees' turnover means the HR department has failed to satisfy the needs of the employees. Continuous recruitment of employees is costly for the firm and should be avoided (Hausknecht, and Trevor, 2011, pp.352-388). The performance of employees also determines the performance of the HR. High fulfillment in the firm implies that employees are qualified for the job execution hence success to the human resource department. Scrap materials are the waste after execution of business processes when the trash level is high it means that there is a lot of wastage in production and employees is inefficiency and ineffective. The HR department has the mandate to ensure that the skills of the workers are sufficient and where the employees have no skills due to technological changes, training and development are essential (Daley, 2012, pp.120-125). The above factor helps the managers to make a decision on the actions to make regarding the employees they have. If the employees are doing well strategies, have to be put to ensure continuous execution of business activities. However, when many problems are facing the employees' remedies have to be implemented. References Bacal, R., 2011. Performance Management 2/E. McGraw Hill Professional.
